VIEWERS have accused Jimmy Fallon of lipsyncing his Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade performance.
The iconic holiday event returned for its 97th installment today with a star-studded lineup of performers and talent.

But when Jimmy Fallon, 49, appeared on a float designed to look like the iconic Central Park bridge, fans were not impressed.
The Tonight Show star performed a song by The Ramones, but fans were convinced he was “lipsyncing.”
FAN BACKLASH
Some took to Twitter to slam the late-night host, one writing: “And now Jimmy Fallon lip syncing The Ramones.”
“I have many things to be thankful for. Jimmy Fallon is not one of them. Can’t even lip sync right. Why do people like him?” a second slammed.
“Jimmy Fallon performing a Ramones song at a Thanksgiving Parade is the antithesis of punk,” a third trolled.
“Not Jimmy Fallon at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade trynna yell into a mic that ain’t even on,” a fourth ripped.
“Allowing Jimmy Fallon singing with The Roots to become a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade staple is where we went wrong as a society,” a fifth joked.
“The Thanksgiving Parade forgot to turn Jimmy Fallon’s mic back on after he ‘sang,'” a final remarked.
COME ON CHER!
Jimmy wasn’t the only star to face criticism from viewers and fans attending the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Cher was also called out for lip-syncing during the holiday event.
Fans caught a key moment during the 77-year-old’s performance when the Goddess of Pop sang her new Christmas hit, DJ Play a Christmas Song, from her 2023 holiday album.
The Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy Award-winner had a prime spot — performing just before the arrival of Santa Claus, which marks the end of the parade.
The icon wore a long sparkly white trench coat, along with a black tie, white button-down shirt, and black leather pants decorated with gold embellishments.
Cher added gold earrings and black finger-less gloves to her look.
During the performance, fans noticed that her song still played even when the microphone was not near her face.
As the singer took off her coat, she moved her microphone away to get the coat off and that’s when her blunder was noticed.
The music and song still played despite her mic being inches away from her mouth.
FAN COMPLAINTS
“Great to see after all these years Cher isnt lip syncing,” a fan joked, who posted a video of the incident to X, formerly Twitter.
“Oh no. The bad lip syncing, Cher,” said another.
“Cher, lip syncing master,” a third trolled.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade returned today for the 97th edition of the festive holiday celebration.
This year, beloved characters like Snoopy and SpongeBob SquarePants took to the skies above The Big Apple.
The parade also included performances from the casts of some Broadway shows.
“It’s going to be a magical experience, an experience full of spectacle, full of entertainment, full of joy, full of celebration,” said Will Coss, executive producer of the parade.
